Today is the Windows 7 official release, we have been hearing about this OS for a long time since the download of the beta collapsed the Windows servers.

This New OS comes to correct all the issues that Vista brought with its impressive interface that only result on a half way OS that can’t be called decent.

Here at Sketchen we decide to switch to Apple and OSX which is now our first option platform to develop projects. But we have to squeeze our budget because of the spicy Apple prices. Remember that you can’t have OSX since this came with an Apple computer attached to it.

These are the main updated that Windows 7 will bring:

-Start up and shut down much faster than Vista.

-Can be installed on a much basic PC than Vista.

-The Windows live family software is not installed by default, so we can choose how to fill our Hard Drives.

-No more Gadgets bar, this time we can chose which and where we will put the gadgets on the desktop.

-A couple of nice effects to the Aero Interface (Hope this won’t be a killer Ram update)

-And Finally a brand new task bar where we can have a preview of the content in each window, plus the grouping of windows of the same application.

With all this new features we will be updating to 7 for sure and give a second chance to Microsoft.

Also we cannot forget the update to OSX called OSX Snow that as a couple of new interesting features.

We will be making a precise review on both OS so we can make a precise conclusion, and you can chose which platform suits you better.

Go shopping for free!

Do you ever dreamed of going shopping without paying for anything and without committing robbery?

It seems this is the new way that marketing reinvents itself.  This particular idea was developed in a Barcelona store, the first one that came up with a new concept in Europe.

The process is simple, you should pay 5€ for 6 months access in exchange of picking up to 5 products  every two weeks, but without repeating any of the products. The selection goes from food to cosmetics.

In the shop, brands promote their most recent products for free, and have access to the data base of clients and the products of their interest. In order to have access to the list the clients should fill a form with their data and accept the terms and conditions and give their information.

The concept looks pretty interesting; we saw these frequently on supermarkets were brands promote itself with free samples, but never all in one place.

We will see how it works; you can visit the shop Esloultimo at Rounda Universitar 9 Barcelona Spain.
